Emma Hack is a woman of many amazing talents, a combination sculptor, photographer, painter and illustrator who has combined her skills to create a stunning series of photographs featuring the beauty, fragility and adaptability of the female form.

To begin with, she has images of partial forms that play with the balance of illusion and reality, figure and setting – paintings that do not completely cover their subjects but begin to blend them with their surroundings in creative ways.

Many of her works, however, have progressed to full-fledged decorative camouflage – immersing her subjects in their visible surroundings. What started for Hack as face paintings for children and make-up for the fashion industry has become an art form with a life of its own. Emma has grown a world-wide cult following.

As her work has progressed, she has also begun integrating further elements such as animals and objects that overtly sit at the forefront and make the disguise of the women holding, touching or petting them slip even further into the background.
