23 Book Covers That Will Make You Say: WTF?!
Design of a book cover is usually intended to attract readers’ attention. Book covers in this collection show some examples where designers went over the top in that direction. Or maybe it was not designers foult after all. You would have to admit that you cannot make a good cover for a book titled: “Three ways to snog an ALIEN”. Maybe the writer are to blame, too.
These covers are extremely odd and you won’t be able to believe that these books really exist. Unfortunately, they do! Unfortunately for the readers of these books, but fortunately for us who will have a great laugh browsing through these covers.

Human and Robots: Visions of the Future
The future is not written yet and who knows weather robots are dangerous or not. What is for sure is that humans, being the curious beings, will develop new advanced generations of robots. Robots and other high-performance inventions have always been of a vast interest for humanity. A great number of scientists have spent the whole life in their laboratories with one aim – to work out innovative schemes, develop them and create some highest qualitative ranking robot. This engrossing process has reached its peak with the technical push that took place due to the endeavors of a number of brilliant and clear intellects of scientists all over the world.
The most striking fantasies in this sphere are brought successfully into reality and a great number of robots are in service of people in order to make the process of work or manufacturing automatic. It happens so that people and robots go together in this life side by side, in some spheres of life they are even interchangeable and who knows into what this opposition “Human and Robots” will translate.
There are two perceivable outcomes:
Robots and humans that live and prosper together…Or robots realize they don’t need as that much…

Who will win in this game of chess? When there is the opposition of the mechanical creature and the human intellect it is not easy to predict the outcome of the game. You can make books, but you will never be sure about the results, they are unpredictable.

Sunset Photography: 35 most memorable sunset pictures
Many people are fascinated with the view of sunset. That is why sunset has been one of the most popular photography scenes that we come across. For photographers, every sunset provides an opportunity to capture a unique scene, with different set of clouds or things in foreground. Photographing a sunset view also gives you infinite variations of colors in one evening itself. However, sunset photography can be trickier than what you initially thought. So here are some quick tips on how to successfully capture a beautiful sunset scenery without even with your simple point-and-shoot camera.
- First of all, you need to have a camera (preferably a DSLR so you can have full control of your aperture and shutter speeds) and a tripod or a steady place to rest your camera.
- Think about your composition. You should have a clear idea on how you want to capture your sunset scene. Take into consideration the clouds, the shades and colors as well as the objects in the foreground.
- Go down on the exposure if you are shooting the sun with the whole sky. Underexposing your scenery gives you a perfect back lit picture and results in more saturated colors.
- When shooting sunsets, you need lots of patience as it usually takes several minutes in order for you to get the perfect picture you are looking for. Take lots of shots as the scenery changes from one minute to another, giving you lots variations of shades and colors of the sky.
To get you inspired, here are 35 best examples of sunset photography. You can view the larger versions of this image from the authors’ page. Make sure to checkout the other photographs from each author as they usually have large.

The Weirdest Clouds that You’ll Ever See
We all know that a tree doesn’t always have green leaves, water is not blue and clouds are certainly not always white and puffy. As designers, we need to know to look beyond the obvious when looking at things.
Cloud formations such as mammatus or lenticular among others, are perfect examples of how intricate and different nature can be. There are even so called ‘ufo clouds’, which truly resemble the shape of a UFO.

10 Photorealistic Painters That Rule
Photorealism emerged from the 1960’s and 1970’s as a movement that countered both minimalism and abstract expressionism. In a photorealist painting, the artist paints from a photograph with a level of detail so fine that they can easily be mistaken for photographs. While the movement waned in the 1980’s it’s coming back in a big way. In 2009, the ArtPrize award was awarded to Ran Ortner’s immense canvas, Open Water No. 24, beating out 9 other finalists (Ortner won after receiving a majority of the 37,264 registered votes cast). His work was the only painting out of the final 10 candidates. (You can read about that here.) With artists’ like Dan Witz (above) using the techniques in a more contemporary setting, the movement is not only coming back, but coming back in a big way.
Here are 10 photorealistic painters (and 21 photorealistic paintings) that are at the height of their game. Remember, they are all oil paintings.
